Flower club Friday 11th October

15.00

Our last Flower club of the season, and we’ll be talking about Chrysanthemums. They’ve got a bad press because of the horrid varieties available in petrol stations, but these are the proper heirloom varieties.

We’ll be looking at all the flowers you can use with the Chrysanthemums to extend your season, and i’ll be answering any of your gardening questions about growing for 2020

Cost £15 for the Talk, Demo and refreshments, if you want to make up and take home a vase of flowers, please bring a vase, and you just pay for the flowers that you use.

Our September Saturday flower club will be talking Dahlias. In September the Dahlias are looking fantastic, and there will be plenty for us to discuss and pick. We'll be looking at the shapes that are best for garden growing and for cut flowers. We'll talk about how to cut them and make them last the longest, and we'll be looking at the foliage and flowers to add with them.

For the floristry demo we'll be using chicken wire to make a low compote or vase display.
