Our flower club tours are an opportunity for you to hear about what's in season at the farm, to ask questions about the flowers that we're growing, to make sure you can grow them too, and to have a floristry demonstration.
In April (Saturday 23rd 10-12midday) we'll be talking about Tulips. How we grow them and pull them, not cut them. We'll be working with Tulips in small vases and displaying them so we can enjoy their bendy nature.
In May we'll be talking about Alliums (Saturday 14th May 10-12midday) . Why they are so good for the May vase, and how we can use their structure in tall displays.
In June (Saturday 11th June 10-12) we'll be talking Roses. For cutting and the garden, and we'll be making corsages to wear.
In July we'll be talking about Perennial flowers for the vase and how to choose to have plenty of complementary shapes in your garden
In August we'll be talking about Sunflowers, flowers for drying and other peak season annuals, how to grow them, which varieties to look for, and which ones are good for the garden or the vase.
In September we'll be at the height of the Dahlia season and we'll be talking about how to choose Dahlia varieties for the vase, and how to cut them. We'll be practicing our wrapping so you can give your excess flowers as gifts
In October we'll be talking late flowering annuals, repeat flowering perennials and Chrysanthemums.
Each session is designed to inspire you to grow in your garden and to teach you how to use blooms from the super market, florist and flower grower to add to them, and is priced at just £15
There will be an opportunity for you to buy flowers to take home to make up your own arrangements
