Pricing Training session for FFTF
These online session for Flower farmers and florists will look at retail and wholesale pricing issues.
How we price our flowers, and having confidence in the price we are giving our blooms is of great importance to us as flowers growers and small business owners, and the British flowers industry as a whole.
Whether you’re in your first year or fourth, or more, you need to know what value you should put on your blooms, how that compares to the market, and who that means you can sell to.
This series of workshops are meant to provide clarity to growers about where they should be looking for comparison information, and give you questions to ask yourself before you put together any stems of flowers to sell.
- Workshop 1 - Flowers for wholesale. We’ll look at the differences between retail and wholesale, and make sure you know the plus and minus points of each. We’ll look at where to find comparison pricing and how to make your wholesale work for your customers used to the Dutch markets, including talking about hubs, while ensuring you can make profit from your stems.
- Workshop 2 - Buckets and bouquets. Selling to local customers in smaller numbers is ideal for those growing on a large garden scale. We’ll look at the differences in pricing that retail customers will be used to, how you can find and make comparisons to other retail outlets, and how to include all your hidden costs.
- Workshop 3 - Small weddings. For those taking on either bespoke decoration or bouquets and buckets dIY weddings, I’ll be talking you through all the pricing points you need to take into account when taking on the smaller size weddings.
These are being delivered as 90 minute zoom sessions in the evening at 7.30pm unless otherwise stated, with a presentation, an exercise to work through (bring your calculators) and Q&A.
They are for FFTF members only, and are priced at £20 pp.
Many thanks for the presentation
