May Wedding flowers for Surrey couples who are thinking about Sustainability

May is the month that abundance on the field starts.  I have to admit that this season, it has been a week later than normal, but  now we're at the middle of the month, I'm feeling confident that the frosts are past, the ground is well prepared and plants are putting on a spurt, so I'm going to show you some of the Wedding scheme's we've put together both this month so far, and in previous years.

Our Ranunculus have loved the cool Spring, and are giving us plenty of amazing blooms. These peachy colours are my personal favourites. The Polytunnel has protected the roses, and now the lacewing lava have moved in to eat the Aphids, I know that we will have lots of organically grown scented roses over the next couple of weeks.

The main colours of May are the blues and purples, with a touch of peach, orange and pink. Over the years though we've found some lovely combinations for the month of May.

Cornflowers are one of our most asked for individual flowers, and both the perennial and Annual cornflowers put in an appearance during May. First the perennial Centaurea Montana, and then the Annual "Bachelor's buttons" Which also have the advantage of being edible, so do use these for your cake decorations.

Blue perennial cornflowers last week, and the abundance of our Perennial area.

Alliums are also a big favourite for us at this time of year.
