What's coming up in July
July is the month that we get our Half hardy annuals starting to flower. There are also Dahlias budding, and our hot colours perennials are going to be at their peak this month, so here's a taster of what you might get from Plantpassion in July.
Our Perennials flowering now include Achillea in lots of different colours, including the white variety The pearl, and the bright yellow Moonshine. We've also got our bright red Crocosmia Lucifer in bud waiting to burst for next week, and the Erynigium are popping. The Allium Spherecephalon are just turning colour, and our Scabious fama are now blooming in blue and white.
Our July annuals include our earliest ever Sunflowers, Daucus in reds, whites and pinks, Ammi major and Visnaga, Antirrhinum, Helichrysum and a summer favourite Cosmos
While July has lots of flowers, it's also great for foliages and herbs, with Dill, starting to flower this month, and Mint and Lemon balm, plus Rosemary and Oregano good for scent and backdrop. Plus we've also got the seed heads of Poppies, Nigella, and Hypericum to look forward to.
and as if that wasn't enough, 2 of the most prolific shrubs on the farm, Hydrangea and Buddleya will join in over the next couple of weeks.
